HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) - Quinnipiac University has reached a transfer agreement that will allow students at Norwalk Community College to more easily transfer to the private university.

Under the recently announced deal, students at the community college who receive an associates degree and have a grade point average of at least 3.0 or higher in some disciplines will be guaranteed admission into Quinnipiac as juniors.

The deal applies to students who earn an associate degree in arts or an associate of science in business, nursing, computer science, criminal justice, allied health or from the college of technology engineering science

The school also is making scholarships available to NCC students based on their grade point averages.
