BROOKFIELD, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut police department’s dive team conducting a training exercise also managed to do some good at the same time.
Brookfield police posted on Twitter that the dive team was training at Candlewood Lake on Tuesday when they found two Apple watches in 25 feet of water.
The watches still worked and were returned to their owners. Police say they were told the watches had been in the water for two weeks.
The News-Times reports that this is not the first time the team has recovered lost items in the lake. Three Apple watches were also found in September 2018.
The 8.4-square-mile (22-square kilometer) Candlewood Lake in western Connecticut is a popular swimming, fishing and boating area.
