TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say human remains were discovered by construction workers east of Tacoma in the Lake Tapps area.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday workers found bones while tearing down a house and clearing property that had been abandoned for several years.
Detectives are working with the medical examiner’s office to determine the identity of the body.
