CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Gov. Chris Sununu is nominating Dianne Martin as the next head of the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission.

Martin, of Deerfield, is associate attorney general and chief of staff to Attorney General Gordon MacDonald. She’s also the lead contracts and procurement attorney within the Civil Bureau at the state Department of Justice.

Sununu is scheduled to nominate Martin at Wednesday’s Executive Council meeting.

The previous chairman of the Public Utilities Commission, Martin Honigberg, was nominated by Sununu and confirmed by the Executive Council on Aug. 14 to serve as a superior court judge.
