PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A Rhode Island rooftop bar that temporarily shut down after a stabbing in the area has reopened.

The Providence Journal reports that the Rooftop at the Providence G reopened just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The city Board of Licenses agreed to let the bar reopen if Public Safety Commissioner Steven M. Paré did not signal any concerns.

The rooftop bar closed Sunday after a stabbing outside an adjacent parking garage.

The bar’s parent company, G Hospitality, says its private security pursued the assailant and disarmed him. Police were notified and came to the scene.

No arrests have been announced. The victim is in stable condition.
