BATH, Maine (AP) - A school bus driver accused of taking cellphone photos up the skirts of six female students in Maine has been sentenced to nearly a year in jail.
The Portland Press Herald reports that 52-year-old Timothy McGowan pleaded guilty and was sentenced Tuesday.
He was convicted on one misdemeanor charge of invasion of privacy and one felony charge of possession of sexually explicit material of a child under the age of 12.
McGowan, who is originally from Texas, was employed by Bath Bus service.
Bath police say he took the photos while transporting students to and from school and other events.
He was first issued a summons in 2018 after authorities found that he was posting photos of students on a Russian image-hosting site.
