LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Latest on charges over death of man whose burned body was found in California desert (all times local):

Three people - including the victim’s former stepdaughter - are charged with killing a 72-year-old Los Angeles man whose burned body was found in the desert more than 100 miles away.
Murder charges were announced Tuesday in the death of William Webb.
Authorities say Webb was bludgeoned with a hammer at his Marina del Rey home on Aug. 15. His burned body was found the next day in Joshua Tree National Park.
Prosecutors charged 44-year-old Haena Worthing - whose mother was divorced by Webb - and a couple who rented a room in Webb’s home.
Worthing was in court Tuesday but didn’t enter a plea.
Investigators suspect Webb was killed because he hoped to sell the home for more than $2 million. There were reports of a family fight over the property.

Prosecutors say two women and a man have been charged with killing a 72-year-old man whose burned body was found at Southern California’s Joshua Tree National Park.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office says Tuesday that 38-year-old John Schiefer, 40-year-old Shavonne Webster and 44-year-old Haena Kealia Worthing each face one count of murder. It wasn’t immediately known if they have lawyers.
Investigators believe the trio killed William Webb on Aug. 15. Webb’s burned body was found the next day in a dry lake bed at the desert park about 135 miles (217 kilometers) east of Los Angeles.
The criminal complaint includes an allegation that Schiefer and Webster used a hammer during the killing.
Arraignment for Worthing is scheduled for Tuesday. Schiefer and Webster are set to be arraigned Sept. 9.
