The Justice Department mistakenly sent an email with a link to a white nationalist website, according to a media report Friday.
The email, reportedly sent Thursday, included links to daily immigration news stories. It also included a link to a blog post on Dare, a white nationalist website, according to Buzzfeed News.
A letter to the Justice Department from the immigration judges’ union says the blog post “directly attacks sitting immigration judges with racial and ethnically tinged slurs.”
“Publication and dissemination of a white supremacist, anti-Semitic website through the [Executive Office for Immigration Review] is antithetical to the goals and ideals of the Department of Justice,” the letter said, according to BuzzFeed.
A spokeswoman for the EOIR told NBC News the news briefings are complied by an independent contractor and the blog pot should not have been included.
“The Department of Justice condemns anti-Semitism in the strongest terms,” spokeswoman Kathryn Mattingly told the network.
