By now, everybody knows of Joe Biden’s latest gaffe — that of botching his own debate closer, the part where he’s supposed to plug his presidential run, the part where he told a listening CNN audience that “if you agree with me, go to Joe 30330 and help me in this fight.”

What Biden meant, but failed to specify, was “text Joe at 30330.” Did he think he was talking about a website?

Oops.

And now his campaign is paying.

Somebody bought the URL Joe30330.com, and it directs to a prank campaign page for Josh Fayer, titled “Josh for America — It’s time for a new, new generation of American leadership.”

It’s not clear who actually bought the URL.

But as far as Biden’s campaign goes — what a headache.

“Meet Josh,” the website reads. “As the first Gen Z’er to declare candidacy for this office, you can trust that I’m the real deal. And I’m not joshin’ you.”

A note at the bottom of the page reveals: Oh, yes he is.

“Hey! If Joe Biden sent you here,” it states, “we just want to make something clear: we’re not affiliated with any presidential campaign. We’re just having some good fun (maybe a little bit at the expense of joe).”

Maybe a lot.

But then again, with Biden, with gaffe-heavy, gaffe-prone Biden, this is perhaps par for the course. Just the latest in a long line — just the latest of what’s likely more to come.

The kicker? Not a good gaffe for a guy who’s already fighting off perceptions of being old and out of touch.
