HONOLULU (AP) - A Hawaii woman has been indicted for manslaughter in the death of an infant girl in her care.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports an Oahu grand jury indicted 41-year-old Dixie D. Villa Thursday.

A Honolulu medical examiner determined 7-month-old Abigail Lobisch died Feb. 23 after receiving nearly double the concentration of an antihistamine than what is usually lethal for babies.

Honolulu police arrested Villa July 20 in connection with the death at an unlicensed home day care on Aliamanu Military Reservation.

Villa has remained in custody since her arrest in lieu of $1 million bail.

A circuit court judge reduced the bail to $500,000 Thursday after the grand jury declined to find Villa eligible for a life prison term with the possibility for parole due to the girl’s young age.
