NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - The city of Nashua, New Hampshire, is getting a new police chief.

Deputy Chief Michael Carignan is being sworn in as the 35th chief of the city on Thursday.

Carignan succeeds Chief Andrew Lavoie, who is retiring after 32 years of service.
