Sen. Angus King said Tuesday he would call on Attorney General William P. Barr to release special counsel Robert Mueller’s full report if he was participating in Mr. Barr’s first congressional appearance since releasing a brief summary.

“I want to say, ’Mr. Barr, turn over that report!’ … We need to see the report, the committees of Congress can handle classified material. We ought to have it, and ultimately, the American people need to see it,” the Maine independent said in an interview with CNN’s “New Day” show.

Mr. Barr released a four-page summary saying Mr. Mueller exonerated Mr. Trump and his campaign from any collusion with Russia but chose to not make a determination on obstruction of justice.

Mr. Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said the evidence against obstruction of justice is not enough to pursue charges.

The attorney general is testifying Tuesday in front of the House Appropriations Committee regarding the Justice Department’s budget, but he’ll likely be asked about the Mueller report.

The House Judiciary Committee voted Wednesday to give Chairman Jerrold Nadler, New York Democrat, the power to subpoena Mr. Mueller’s full final report and all of his investigative materials.
