PEARL, Miss. (AP) - The Latest on Republican Tate Reeves’ campaign “kick-off rally” (all times local):

Republican Tate Reeves is telling supporters in his race for Mississippi governor that “radical liberals” are trying to change the state’s culture and he intends to stop that from happening.
Reeves spoke to about 200 people Monday evening at what his campaign called a “kick-off rally.” It happened three months after he filed papers to enter the race many more months after he started raising campaign money.
The event happened at the air conditioning business that Reeves’ father founded in Pearl.
Reeves is completing his second term as lieutenant governor after two terms as state treasurer. He largely ignored his two Republican primary opponents during his speech at the rally, focusing instead on the man he expects to be the Democratic nominee for governor, fourth-term Attorney General Jim Hood.

Mississippi Republican Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves is holding what he calls a “kick-off rally” in his campaign for governor, three months after he filed papers to enter the race and many more months after he started raising money for it.
The Monday evening event takes place in Pearl at the air conditioning business his father owns.
Reeves is completing his second term as lieutenant governor after serving two terms as state treasurer. Last week, he declined to debate the other Republicans running for governor, retired Mississippi Supreme Court Chief Justice Bill Waller Jr. and state Rep. Robert Foster.
Nine Democrats are seeking their party’s nomination for governor.
Primaries are Aug. 6, and the general election is Nov. 5.
Current Republican Gov. Phil Bryant is barred from seeking a third term.
