BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - Authorities say a Bozeman man shot and killed a woman who was living with him because he was upset that she was seeing another man.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports that 56-year-old William Fredrick appeared in court Friday on a deliberate homicide charge. A judge set bail at $1 million.

Charging documents say Bailey told officers that he had been living with the victim, who was not named, since 2016. Bailey told them he became upset she was seeing another man, and told her Thursday evening that she should move out.

The documents say they argued and the woman left.

They say when she returned, Bailey fired two shots from a handgun.

The woman was struck in the abdomen and died in a hospital Friday morning.
