President Trump on Thursday posted a satirized version of likely 2020 foe Joseph R. Biden’s video apologizing for invading others’ personal space, with the former vice president getting kissed and touched by Mr. Biden himself.

Mr. Biden, who leads the pack of 2020 Democratic presidential hopefuls despite not having officially entered the race, came under fire over the weekend for misconduct allegations, including inappropriate displays of affection.

Responding to Nevada politician Lucy Flores’ accusation that he once inappropriately touched and kissed her, Mr. Biden said Sunday in a statement, “In my many years on the campaign trail and in public life, I have offered countless handshakes, hugs, expressions of affection, support and comfort, and not once — never — did I believe I acted inappropriately. If it is suggested I did so, I will listen respectfully. But it was never my intention.”

He appeared to address the accusations in a video released Wednesday on Twitter, promising to be respectful of people’s personal space.

That video then became an inspiration for the satirical statement, which was retweeted by Mr. Trump with the caption, “Welcome back Joe!”

Mr. Biden responded by questioning the president’s tact, adding, “I see that you are on the job and presidential, as always.”

The lampooning video, claimed by a Trump supporter specializing in creating memes, was shared online by Dan Scavino, the White House director of social media.
