BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - An Uber driver in Buffalo is being credited for saving a wandering toddler.

Sylvia Collins says she was finishing up a fare around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, when she turned onto a city road and saw the 2-year-old boy on the street. Collins says she stopped her car and picked up the boy.

She took him to a nearby children’s hospital. The boy was reported missing by his grandfather later that morning.

Buffalo Police Capt. Jeff Rinaldo says the boy somehow opened up a locked door and walked out of the front door of his apartment.

Rinaldo says the ride-share driver should be commended for her actions.
