HELENA, Mont. (AP) - Montana Gov. Steve Bullock will have a new communications director starting next month.

The governor’s office said in a statement that current communications director Ronja Abel is resigning to start her own business.

She will be replaced by Bullock’s press secretary, Marissa Perry.

Perry has been in her current position since 2017 and was the deputy communications director for Bullock’s 2016 re-election campaign.

Bullock says he is grateful for his friendship with both Abel and Perry and is confident they will be successful in their next opportunities.
