PEORIA, Ill. (AP) - The dual national champion Bradley University speech team is being honored.

The celebration will be Friday afternoon at the Caterpillar Global Communications Center on campus.

Bradley won the National Forensic Association contest in California last weekend. It was the second national championship the team claimed this year.

The school now claims 43 team championships and 162 individual national titles.

Mayor Jim Ardis, President Gary Roberts and Provost Walter Zakahi will make remarks at Friday’s event. So will team president Megan Magee.

Many team alumni have been invited. The championship trophy will be on display in the Global Communications Center.
