OPINION:
I trust our president; I’ve been a supporter from the start. Therefore, I must voice my frustration aloud as to the lack of action by this administration, and Congress, over the big-tech censorship issue. As a conservative commentator, I am routinely shadow-banned on Twitter. I have almost 80,000 followers on my main channel and I rarely get more than a handful of likes or comments on a Twitter post. The same is true with Facebook.
Almost every day people ask me, “Where have you been? I haven’t seen your posts in six months, or a year, or more!”
This is plain censorship of right-wing speech. They aren’t even trying to hide it anymore.
Conservatives are being de-platformed, de-banked, and disenfranchised from the public debate.
The White House has essentially done nothing. Congress of course has done nothing.
President Trump has met with Jack Dorsey of Twitter, Sundar Pichai of Google, and others. He says he has ’great meetings’.
What exactly does that mean?
The big-tech companies routinely lie to Congress and say they are doing none of this. Documents, emails, videos, etc are routinely leaked that say they are doing just that — blocking conservative thought and speech and the conservative message.
This is the biggest threat to American liberty we have faced in a long time. How in the world can it be legal for all of the big-tech companies to gang up, collude, use monopolistic behavior against conservatives, or populists like Alex Jones? They all de-platformed him on the same day. It doesn’t matter whether you like or support what Alex says or not. What matters is that we at least used to have free speech in this country.
Why hasn’t the Department of Justice done anything about this? Why isn’t anti-trust legislation making its way through Congress as we speak?
I for one would like to know why.
