LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 15-year-old boy has become the second student to admit creating racially specific internet social media posts calling for violence to “cleanse the hallways” of blacks at a Las Vegas high school.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the teen pleaded guilty Monday in Juvenile Court to a felony charge of making a terrorist threat about Arbor View High School. He’s due for sentencing Friday.
Neither he nor a 14-year-old co-defendant who previously admitted creating the Instagram posts was identified due to their ages. Both were arrested last month.
Another post referred to the Columbine High School massacre in Colorado in 1999.
The 14-year-old was sentenced April 12 to a juvenile facility diversion program followed by at least three years’ probation.
The school in northwest Las Vegas has about 3,000 students.
