GRAMBLING, La. (AP) - The president and CEO of the National Urban League will address spring graduates of Grambling State University.

The university, in a news release Tuesday, said Marc H. Morial will be the keynote speaker for commencement ceremonies scheduled May 10 at 10 a.m. in the Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center.

Grambling State President Rick Gallot (GAH-low) says Morial’s “experience in advocacy, service and entrepreneurship offers an important perspective to our graduates as they prepare to change the world.”

Morial has also served as president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors and was mayor of New Orleans from 1994 to 2002.
