President Trump on Tuesday fired back at Democrats, saying they have become “unhinged” since special counsel Robert Mueller completed his investigation into Russian election meddling.
In a series of tweets, Mr. Trump said Democrats turned Mr. Mueller into a “God-like figure” whom they have now abandoned since he reportedly found no conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia to sway the 2016 election.
“Robert Mueller was a God-like figure to the Democrats, until he ruled No Collusion in the long awaited $30,000,000 Mueller Report,” Mr. Trump tweeted. “Now the Dems don’t even acknowledge his name, have become totally unhinged, and would like to go through the whole process again. It won’t happen!”
He also said House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, New York Democrat, and House intelligence committee Chairman Adam B. Schiff, California Democrat, will be never satisfied with document production from people in his administration.
Last month, Attorney General William P. Barr said Mr. Mueller found no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
“There is no amount of testimony or document production that can satisfy Jerry Nadler or Shifty Adam Schiff,” the president tweeted. “It is now time to focus exclusively on properly running our great Country!”
