Kate Smith’s iconic “God Bless America” will get no more love in the City of Brotherly Love.

Claims of racism against the 1930s star ended playing of the song in Yankee Stadium earlier this year, and the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers have now followed suit, going so far as covering a statue of the singer outside the Wells Fargo Center, the New York Post reported Friday.

At issue are Smith’s recordings such as “That’s Why Darkies Were Born,” which was ironically were considered satire at the time.

The singer also endorsed the use of a “mammy doll” in 1939 and sang a song called “Pickaninny Heaven” involving black children who desire watermelons.

Smith died in 1986, although she did perform “God Bless America” live for Flyers fans in 1974.
