Rep. Debbie Dingell said Friday the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s redacted report provides a “roadmap” to help Democrats in the 2020 election.
“Congress has a very serious responsibility for oversight…things in there are very disturbing, but I also think we got to remember the American people are worried about a lot of other things. So we’ve got to do both,” the Michigan Democrat said on CNN’s “At This Hour” show.
“I think that for me, the Mueller report is a roadmap for the November 2020 election. And people need to remember the kind of behavior they saw. By the way, all of us need to be concerned, nobody can deny Russia tried to interfere in the [2016] election and is clearly trying again,” she continued.
The Justice Department released a redacted version of Mr. Mueller’s report Thursday, with the special counsel concluding Mr. Trump’s team did not collude with Russia to win the 2016 election but that the president’s attempts to obstruct the investigation could be seen as problematic.
