ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Classes at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul have been canceled after a bomb threat forced the evacuation of students, staff and even babies who were rolled out of an on-campus day care center in their cribs.
The university alerted students, faculty and staff to evacuate McNeely Hall and surround buildings in a series of tweets Wednesday morning. Officials say the threat that came in around 10:20 a.m. targeted McNeely Hall, which houses the university’s business school classrooms and offices.
St. Paul police spokesman Sgt. Mike Ernster said his department’s officers responded to the campus to make sure everybody is safe.
The university or police did not provide any further details of the threat.
