WAUPACA, Wis. (AP) - A man accused of driving drunk, killing a pedestrian and fleeing from the scene in Waupaca County is sentenced to five years in prison.
WLUK-TV reports Michael Pribbernow earlier entered Alford pleas to hit and run involving death and third offense drunken driving. The plea means Pribbernow maintains his innocence but acknowledges there’s enough evidence for a conviction.
The body of 18-year-old Tim Cruse was found along a road in Farmington last July. Authorities say he was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop. Pribbernow was arrested several weeks later.
A judge Tuesday also place Pribbernow on five years on supervision and suspended his driver’s license for two years.
