DECATUR, Ga. (AP) - Police say a 63-year-old woman has fallen to her death from a second-story apartment window in a domestic dispute in the Atlanta area.

DeKalb County police tell The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the woman fell out of the window when the dispute became violent. Police spokesman Sgt. J.D. Spencer says she fell after the argument between her and 53-year-old Mikle Allen Spann turned physical.

Police officers took Spann into custody at the apartment complex Sunday night and booked him into the county jail on a murder charge.

Spencer says the woman died from her injuries at a hospital. He did not provide her name pending family notification, and did not disclose a relationship between her and Spann.

It is unclear if Spann has lawyer who could comment.
