The Washington Redskins began their voluntary offseason workouts Monday, the beginning of a nine-week offseason program.
During “Phase One,” which lasts two weeks, players are limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation only. “Phase Two” lasts for three weeks and involves individual drills and some team drills, though the offense and defense must be separated. No live contact is permitted.
For “Phase Three,” teams can host 10 days of organized team activities, or OTAs. During this portion of the offseason, teams can hold 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills — as long as there is no live contact.
