President Trump lent Boeing “branding” advice Monday on how to salvage its Boeing 737 Max 8 jetliners after two of their planes crashed in recent months, leading to the rest being grounded from flying in multiple nations.
“What do I know about branding, maybe nothing (but I did become President!), but if I were Boeing, I would FIX the Boeing 737 MAX, add some additional great features, & REBRAND the plane with a new name. No product has suffered like this one. But again, what the hell do I know,” he tweeted.
Mr. Trump in March ordered the grounding of all Boeing 737 Max 8 planes in U.S. airspace as investigators complete a full review of what caused the Ethiopian Airlines plane’s crash that killed 157 people.
The plane’s fate was ruled similar to the Lion Air Max 8 disaster in Indonesia in October, which crashed into the Java Sea and killed all 189 passengers on board.
