SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - The body of a female passenger has been recovered from a tow truck that fell into the Sacramento River.

The Sacramento Bee reports that a private company recovered the vehicle that went through railings on the Pioneer Bridge March 26.

Police did not identify the female victim, but relatives believe it is Roselyn Sharma.

Authorities say the body of Sharma’s husband, Shalvinesh Sharma, was found Thursday about 5 miles (8 kilometers) downstream by fire department personnel.

Relatives say the couple owned a towing company and were on their way to a call the night of the accident.

Authorities say rescue efforts over nearly two and a half weeks were repeatedly cancelled due to the unsafe speed of the river.
