Tiger Woods won the 2019 Masters with a final score of 13 under par, clinching the 15th major championship of his career and his first in 11 years.

The victory marked the completion of a long comeback arc for Woods, whose career was sidetracked first by several alleged extramarital affairs that became public, then constant back injuries that required four surgeries.

It is Woods’ fifth green jacket and his first victory at Augusta National in 14 years, the longest drought between Masters wins for any player.

After three birdies and three bogeys through the first 10 holes of his final round, Woods separated himself from the pack with birdies at holes 13, 15 and 16. His birdie at the short part-4 15th gave him the solo lead, and he followed it up by pinning his tee shot at the par-3 16th within four feet of the hole.
