The Washington Wizards announced they will not tender a qualifying offer to forward Devin Robinson this offseason, choosing to part ways with the player after he was arrested Saturday morning.

“We are aware of the incident this morning involving Devin and are disappointed in his actions. We will not extend a qualifying offer to him for the 2019-20 season,” the team’s brief statement read.

NBC Philadelphia reported that Robinson got into a fight with Eagles cornerback Jalen Mills outside a nightclub in the District, which left Robinson hospitalized.

Robinson, 24, played most of the 2018-19 season with the G League’s Capital City Go-Go. He got into seven Wizards games, including the last three of the season, and averaged 6.7 points over 13.6 minutes per game at the NBA level.

He was entering restricted free agency, and Washington would have had the first rights to sign him. With the team saying it will decline to send a qualifying offer, Robinson will become an unrestricted free agent.
