WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (AP) - Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated has announced plans to expand its production facility in West Memphis and transfer 60 jobs there.
The company said Wednesday that it will invest $33 million in the 200,000-square-foot (18,500-square-meter) facility in West Memphis. The company is the maker, bottler and distributor of Coca-Cola products in 14 states in the Mid-South.
Coca-Cola Bottling says it will keep its transportation and logistics facility in Memphis, Tennessee, where it employs about 300 people.
Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson praised the announcement and said higher-wage jobs for skilled workers are important in the Mississippi Delta region.
