President Trump said Wednesday that the reelection of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a good sign for peace in the Middle East.
“I think we have a better chance now that Bibi has won,” Mr. Trump told reporters at the White House. “It looks like Bibi has won that race. I think we’ll see some pretty good action in terms of peace.”
Mr. Netanyahu was on track to become Israel’s longest-serving prime minister after election results showed him in a better position than opponent Benny Gantz to form a governing coalition.
