Northwestern’s Clayton Thorson is the latest quarterback prospect to visit with the Washington Redskins.
Thorson is meeting with Washington Wednesday, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported.
Northwestern QB Clayton Thorson is visiting the #Redskins today, per source. They’ve already hosted Drew Lock and Jarrett Stidham, among others. Doing extra work on pretty much all the top QBs. https://t.co/2iAL7MUzL4

Thorson is projected to be a second-day selection. The mock draft site Walter Football ranks him as the sixth-best quarterback in the draft class, ahead of West Virginia’s Will Grier, another prospect linked to the Redskins.
The Redskins also hosted Dwayne Haskins and Daniel Jones on visits this week.
Thorson was a four-year starter for the Wildcats and finished his collegiate career with 10,731 passing yards, 61 touchdowns and 45 interceptions. As a senior, he led Northwestern to win the Big Ten’s West Division in surprise fashion, and the program made its first-ever conference championship game.
Thorson also comes with a medical history: He tore his ACL in Northwestern’s 2017 bowl game and missed this year’s Senior Bowl with a high ankle sprain.
