DUNWOODY, Ga. (AP) - A 46-year-old local newspaper in Georgia is ending its printing edition, citing declining revenues and a shrinking staff.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports The Crier publisher and editor Dick Williams announced the halt on Tuesday. Williams says The Crier hopes to continue to serve the Dunwoody area online for “as long as we are able and as long as our reporters are agreeable.”

Williams says the staff has fallen from eight to two full-time employees, an editor and freelance writers and photographers.

He says the newspaper hasn’t got an ad from an automobile dealer in 15 years and from the local mall in more than 20 years. He says that the hyperlocal paper only received a single ad from one nearby grocery store, despite being surrounded by several.
