HUNTINGTON PARK, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say three people have been hospitalized - two in critical condition - after a car crashed into a fast food restaurant south of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department says two restaurant patrons were struck by the car that plowed into a Carl’s Jr. in Huntington Park Monday.

They received critical injuries. The driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Television news footage showed a silver Toyota sedan fully inside the building.

Officials say two other people were treated at the scene about 8 miles (13 kilometers) south of downtown Los Angeles.
