The New England Patriots did not include wide receiver Josh Gordon among their inactives for Sunday’s Week 4 contest against the Miami Dolphins, so Gordon will likely play his first game as a Patriot.
New England traded a fifth-round pick to acquire Gordon (and a Cleveland seventh-round pick) on Sept. 17.

The Browns worked closely last offseason to help Gordon, whose issues with addiction have led to multiple suspensions, get ready to play once again. He caught a touchdown for Cleveland in Week 1 that forced overtime and eventually led to a tie against Pittsburgh.
But the final straw for the Browns came several days later, when Gordon injured his hamstring at a photo shoot and then arrived late to a team meeting.
Gordon has not played since Week 1; the Patriots did not activate him for Week 3, as his hamstring wasn’t yet 100 percent. Sunday will be the first game Gordon plays for a team besides the Browns since Cleveland drafted him in 2012.
