Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Tuesday the White House is open to having Deborah Ramirez, the second woman to accuse Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct, testify about her allegations.
During an interview with “Good Morning America,” Mrs. Sanders said the White House is fine with Ms. Ramirez joining the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Thursday. Currently, only California professor Christine Blasey Ford, the first accuser, and Judge Kavanaugh are set to testify.
“The president [has] been clear. Let them speak, but also let Brett Kavanaugh speak,” the spokeswoman said. “Let’s let him tell his side of the story before we let allegations determine his entire future.”
President Trump continues to stand with his Supreme Court nominee. On Monday, he said Judge Kavanaugh was “a fine man” and the allegations against him were “totally political.”
Overnight, Mr. Trump took to Twitter to attack the Democrats who he said were “working hard to destroy” Judge Kavanaugh.
The Democrats are working hard to destroy a wonderful man, and a man who has the potential to be one of our greatest Supreme Court Justices ever, with an array of False Accusations the likes of which have never been seen before!

Judge Kavanaugh has denied all allegations against him.
