Bill Cosby’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star is at least as safe as President Trump’s.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce told a CBS affiliate Tuesday that Cosby’s sentencing to 3 to 10 years imprisonment on sexual-assault charges will not change the group’s longstanding refusal to remove any stars for the person’s later misdeeds.

“The stars only commemorate the recipient’s professional accomplishments,” the chamber wrote to KCBS in Los Angeles. “It is regrettable when the personal lives of inductees do not measure up to public standards and expectations.”

A petition for Cosby’s removal was submitted Monday, the eve of the sentencing. An earlier petition from 2015, when numerous women began coming forward and putting faces to longstanding whispers about Cosby, was similarly refused, KCBS wrote.

Since Mr. Trump began his 2016 presidential run, the star honoring the former reality-TV star has been vandalized several times and local government officials have called for its removal. Cosby’s star has also been defaced in recent years.
