Dallas Cowboys officials will try to resume trade talks centered on safety Earl Thomas when the team visits the Seattle Seahawks for their Week 3 game Sunday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said.

Dallas offered a second-round draft pick for Thomas earlier this month, but the Seahawks turned it down.
Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs are said to be a candidate to acquire Thomas, ESPN reported.
Thomas appeared ready to continue his holdout into the regular season, but instead he reported to the Seahawks. He has seven tackles and an interception through two games. But Thomas missed two practices last week, and Seattle is considering a “significant” fine for Thomas for conduct detrimental to the team, ESPN said.
The NFL trade deadline is Oct. 30.
