Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway said Friday the conditions California professor Christine Blasey Ford wants in order to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee was more like a “laundry list of demands.”
Mrs. Conway once again touted President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh’s desire to testify under oath during an interview on CNN’s “New Day.”
In a letter sent to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Ms. Blasey Ford accused Judge Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her at party when they were teens.
On Monday, Mrs. Conway told Fox News of Ms. Blasey Ford, “This woman should not be insulted, and she should not be ignored.”
She also said the White House remains committed to wanting Ms. Blasey Ford to share her story. The only thing that changed since her comments on Monday is that Ms. Blasey Ford is not ready to testify, Mrs. Conway argued.
On Thursday, Ms. Blasey Ford’s attorneys requested that several stipulations be met before their client talks to the committee. Those included a later date for the hearing and having other witnesses subpoenaed.

CNN reported there was also a request to have Judge Kavanaugh testify before Ms. Blasey Ford does.
“It’s very unusual for a person making the allegations to go second and not first,” Mrs. Conway said, arguing that it ignored a “bedrock principle” of criminal and civil proceedings.
Mrs. Conway also slammed Democrats again for waiting to come forward with the allegations and for not protecting Ms. Blasey Ford’s identity.
“I hope this woman is not being used by the Democrats,” Mrs. Conway said.
