Basketball star LeBron James still has Fox News’ Laura Ingraham on his mind — an upcoming Showtime project will be called “Shut Up and Dribble” in an apparent reference to their public spat.
The NBA star and former ESPN host Jemele Hill are collaborating for a three-part documentary series in November that will immortalize Ms. Ingraham’s analysis of Mr. James’s political commentary. Critics of the conservative said in February that she was racist for blasting his “ignorant” and “barely intelligible” comments on President Trump.
“This is what happens when you attempt to leave high-school a year early to join the NBA, and it’s always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid $100 million a year to bounce a ball,” the Fox host said. “Keep the political commentary to yourself, or as someone once said: ’Shut up and dribble.’”
Ms. Ingraham defended her statements by noting the title of one of her books — “Shut Up and Sing” — which lambasted Hollywood’s liberal performers for wading into politics.
Ms. Hill, who made national headlines when she called Mr. Trump a “white supremacist” on September 11, 2017, told The Hollywood Reporter that James continues to feel “frustrated by the behavior of this administration.”

“[Black Americans] feel very insulted and vulnerable within this time because of who’s in charge,” she told the entertainment magazine on Wednesday.
