Patrick Smyth, a second former classmate of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, is sending a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee denying any knowledge of the rowdy high school party described by Christine Blasey Ford.

CNN received a copy of the letter, which is expected to be sent on Wednesday.

“I understand that I have been identified by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford as the person she remembers as ’PJ’ who supposedly was present at the party she described in her statements to the Washington Post,” Mr. Smyth wrote in the letter.

In her account to The Washington Post, Ms. Ford noted that there four boys at the high school party. Judge Kavanaugh and Mark Judge were identified as the ones in the room during her alleged assault, but The Post article did not identify the other two.

Mr. Smyth claims he is indeed one of the boys Ms. Ford referenced but said he didn’t know anything about the party in her allegation.

“I am issuing this statement today to make it clear to all involved that I have no knowledge of the party in question; nor do I have any knowledge of the allegations of improper conduct she has leveled against Brett Kavanaugh,” he wrote. “Personally speaking, I have known Brett Kavanaugh since high school and I know him to be a person of great integrity, a great friend, and I have never witnessed any improper conduct by Brett Kavanaugh towards women.”

Both Judge Kavanaugh and Mr. Judge have both denied that alleged sexual assault took place. The Supreme Court nominee agreed to testify in Committee, but Mr. Judge said he did not have more information to give beyond his denial.

Republican lawmakers set a hearing to address the allegations for Monday, but Ms. Ford wants the FBI to investigate her claims before she testifies.
