WATERTOWN, Mass. (AP) - A pedestrian has been fatally struck by a tow truck in Watertown and her son retaliated against the driver by stabbing him multiple times.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said the incident happened around 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Boston suburb.
The woman, who has only been identified as being in her late 60s or early 70s, was struck while crossing the street and died on the scene.
A man who said he was her son then stabbed the driver about five times in the torso. The driver was taken to a Boston hospital in critical condition.
The other man was arrested and taken to the hospital with injuries. Ryan said he’s not expected to be in court today.
Authorities didn’t release any names and the investigation is ongoing.
