NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Federal prosecutors say three U.S. Postal Service workers in the New Orleans area have been charged with stealing or mishandling money.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a news release that two postal workers in New Orleans are accused of stealing mail.
A former supervisor at a New Orleans post office is accused of mishandling Postal Service funds.
Twenty-five-year-old Bria Davis of New Orleans is accused of stealing mail containing checks, checkbooks and gift cards while working at two post office locals.
Thirty-year-old Courtney Duplessis of New Orleans is accused of stealing mail while working at two locations.
The former supervisor, 47-year-old Jacqueline M. Batiste, is charged with misuse of postal funds.
Federal records listed no attorneys for the suspects.
