Rodgers left the Packers’ Sunday night game against the Chicago Bears last week with a knee injury, then returned to lead Green Bay back from a 20-0 deficit to win 24-23 at Lambeau Field.
Rodgers did not practice for the Packers this week until Saturday. Coach Mike McCarthy said he did not think the elite quarterback needed to practice in order to play.
Had Rodgers not been able to go Sunday, the Packers’ backup is DeShone Kizer.
In Week 3, Rodgers and the Packers will visit the Washington Redskins.
