SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Syracuse and Purdue have agreed to a two-game, home-and-home series beginning in 2022.

The schools announced the series Wednesday.

The Boilermakers will make their first trip to the Carrier Dome on Sept. 17, 2022, and Syracuse will travel to West Lafayette, Indiana, a year later.

The Orange are 0-1 against the Boilermakers, losing 51-0 at Ross-Ade Stadium in the 2004 season opener.

Syracuse coach Dino Babers was an assistant at Purdue from 1991-93.

The addition of the Purdue series leaves two nonconference slots for Syracuse to fill in 2022 and 2023.
