OPINION:
Many Democrats and folks in the mainstream media are gleeful about the gutless, anonymous New York Times op-ed boasting about “protecting the nation” from the president, who was elected to carry out the will of his voters.
The people of America elected Donald Trump because he’s a disrupter. They knew he was not a good candidate morally, but they voted for him based on his policies. How can technocrats try to stop the will of the people? Is this one technocrat or numerous technocrats arguing that they are wiser than the 62 million-plus voters who voted for Donald Trump?
Just imagine if this had happened under President Obama. Many of those in the mainstream media (and the Democrats) would have been calling the author of the anonymous op-ed a traitor. Imagine if a self-declared “socialist” in the form of Sen. Bernie Sanders had won and this happened under his administration. Think the media would have been so gleeful?
What has President Trump done that he has never said in public or before he was elected? Isn’t he growing the economy by over 4 percent, where many experts in 2016 said to do so was impossible?
