Americans, wake up. Your employees are failing you. That’s right — you employ your senators and state representatives. And yet I sometimes wonder if you even know their names.

You have hired these men and women to do a job. The 12 appropriations bills and a budget are part of that job. When is the last time these items were on the president’s desk on time? If you say, “My legislator isn’t the problem,” you are wrong. It is up to your legislator to get these bills passed.

My solution to this probem: If these bills aren’t on the president’s desk on time, we revert to the previous year, with a 5 percent increase in all the requirements of the government as listed in the articles of the U.S. Constitution, and a 3 percent decrease in everything else.
